Held shortly after covid restrictions were lifted, Glozier Boxing’s most recent event saw rising star Mea Motu take a huge step towards her dream of a world title by defeating experience gatekeeper and former world title challenger Baby Nansen.
At a sold-out ABA Stadium, Motu out-slugged Nansen in a thrilling toe-totoe contest. The event also marked the emergence of GBP’s own rising star Viliami Liava’a. The classy Kiwi-Tongan super middleweight had no problems dispatching experienced pro Joshua Tai, dropping the veteran twice on the way to a unanimous points victory.
